Our “Truly” Laser Teeth Whitening

Truly the safest, fastest, and most effective way to brighten up your smile in a single visit.

During the past, when cosmetic dentistry is at its early stage, having stained or discoloured teeth were one of the things we just had to live with, considering the fact that whitening one’s smile is not that easy, as effective teeth whitening options would involve such expensive and lengthy procedures that usually requires spending hours on a dental chair...

Not anymore! – At Sea Smile Dental Center in Phuket, a dazzling white smile just a “single-visit” and “less-than-an-hour” away! Thanks to our Truly Laser Teeth Whitening Treatment – our professional in-clinic bleaching procedure for getting your pearly whites back in less time and effort, yet delivering great results at the same time.

Our Truly Laser Whitening Treatment is the wave of the future. It is a painless procedure which utilizes cutting-edge laser light technology to ensure safety and efficiency while obtaining a confident and healthy white smile.

The concept of laser whitening treatment was developed in response to patients’ grievances when undergoing a traditional bleaching treatment. The treatment not only involves lengthy procedures, it is associated with pain and usually resulted in inflammation as well. Thus, a propriety whitening gel was formulated with hydrogen peroxide solution as its primary bleaching agent, and made to be responsive to specific laser wavelengths with which the reaction is a rapid production of free oxygen radicals.

The main difference between conventional “non-laser” and the more advanced “laser” whitening is greater efficiency with regards to the amount of energy to bleach the teeth. This simply means that significant amount of time will be eliminated, along with the heating of the teeth that usually results in post-procedure sensitivity.

BASIC LASER TEETH WHITENING FAQs

  • What causes teeth discoloration?
Teeth discoloration may come from a variety of factors including hereditary, external (e.g. consumption of staining substances like coffee/tea), or internal (e.g. trauma, flourosis, tetracycline) causes.
  • Is the laser procedure safe?
Yes, laser teeth whitening is FDA-approved world-wide. In fact, the LaserSmile™ system we use today is considered the safest procedure for whitening. The process does not subject your teeth and gums to direct heat thus no harm will ever be in the way. In addition, our system was developed and tested to protect your tooth enamel and a neutral PH level is maintained throughout the entire process so there won’t be any acidic effect which is usually associated with other whitening products/systems.
  • Will the treatment be painful?
Generally, this treatment would involve simple procedures where no anaesthesia is ever required as there is virtually no pain will be present at all. However, some patients may experience a little sensitivity during or right after the treatment. This teeth sensitivity will last no more than 24 hours after the procedures and can easily be managed by analgesics or over-the-counter pain relievers.
  • How white will my teeth be?
At present, our laser whitening system has shown the most satisfying results compared to other procedures associated with halogen, argons, or other heat lamps. It is however best to determine the exact shade of whiteness during your consultation in which our dentist will go over current condition and personal expectation to achieve optimal and natural-looking whiteness.
  • How long will the treatment/process take?
The whole treatment will last between 45 minutes to an hour at the most.
  • How long will my teeth remain white?
The effect of the treatment varies individually, or from one person to another. Obviously, certain habits such as tobacco smoking, coffee/tea/wine consumption, or poor oral hygiene will allow your teeth to go back to a darker shade in less time. Assuming that regular oral care is practiced, including visits to your dentist bi-annually, your teeth will remain white for up to 2-3 years.
